We are delighted to announce that the proceedings of the Fifth Neuroadaptive Technology Conference (NAT’26) are now published and ready for download. The volume brings together the accepted contributions presented in Berlin from 22 to 24 April 2026.
The collection reflects how far the field has moved from the lab towards real-world use. Contributions range from collaborative brain-computer interfaces that help teams resist misleading AI advice, to real-time workload monitoring in air traffic control and neuroadaptive mixed, augmented and virtual reality. Methodological work tackles some of the field’s toughest challenges: EEG signal drift, cross-subject transfer learning, artifact-aware source imaging without MRI, and keeping passive BCIs reliable outside the lab. Deep learning features prominently, from the robustness of EEG foundation models to neuromorphic seizure prediction. The volume also looks beyond the technology, with work on user-centred design and on how EU law, including the GDPR and the AI Act, applies to neuroadaptive systems in the workplace.
A heartfelt thank you
To all authors, reviewers, speakers, panellists, sponsors and participants: thank you! Your ideas, discussions and hard work made NAT’26 a vibrant meeting point for neuroscience and AI. We look forward to building on this momentum together.
